You are the reason I put them at the top of my list, above French Laundry and the Inn at Little Washington. Not that I’ll ever darken the doors of any of them. But, my fingers are crossed.
Well, the Inn at Little Washington remains a fond memory, but more for the story than the food experience (the food was wonderful, though). But it just didn’t compare (IMO).
I haven’t dined at The French Laundry — I hear I ought to, but when we were out there, I was very much on my “no celebrity chef” thing …
I should update my list on-blog … hmmmm.
But Ohhh Emmmm Geeee on Le Bernadin (fanning myself). I think I described it to Syd back in the day as “orgasms on a plate”.
I guess I’m an uncultured, mid-western, country fuck because I wouldn’t eat ANYTHING on that menu….I would much prefer a bologna and feta monstrosity any day, thankyouverymuch.
